Associazione Kayros Onlus has been working for over 20 years to support and provide shelter for minors and young adults aged 14 to 25 who are involved in alternative detention measures or civil and administrative legal proceedings.
The Kayros communities, located in Vimodrone (MI), offer a home to over 50 young people, providing a family-like environment and personalized educational programs aimed at personal growth, training, and job placement.
Within this journey, sports play a fundamental role—not just as a recreational activity but also as a tool for socialization, education, and personal development.
The renovation of common sports areas has enriched the sports offering, allowing young people to engage in sports activities safely and consistently.
In particular, the project has strengthened opportunities for participation in:
Football: A key tool for social interaction, teaching respect for rules, teamwork, and collaboration.
Tennis: A growing discipline within Kayros, promoting physical well-being, discipline, teamwork, and the pursuit of shared goals.
Basketball: Though played occasionally, it complements the sports program by contributing to both individual and group development.
Thanks to these efforts, young people can now experience sports as an educational tool, improving their social skills and fostering a strong sense of belonging to the community.
The project benefits approximately 50 young people living in the Kayros communities, offering them new opportunities for personal growth and development through sports.
