Pooja: Between Soccer and School – Sport for Change

The young soccer player who balances sports and studies.

Pooja, a 13-year-old girl, is showing how it is possible to pursue her passion for soccer without compromising her commitment to school.

Since joining the Sport for Change program by Fondazione Milan, supported by Gruppo India, she has been continuously honing her skills, driven by her love for the game. Coming from a business-oriented family, Pooja isn’t the only soccer enthusiast; her brother plays as well.

In addition to being a diligent student, she is well-liked by her peers and teachers for her helpful and kind nature. However, it is on the soccer field where Pooja truly shines, having already participated in several tournaments and won trophies. For her, soccer is more than just a game; it’s a school of life, teaching her values such as loyalty, kindness, and sharing.

With the full support of her family, who encourage her talent and passion for soccer, Pooja is ready to face the challenge of balancing her sports dream with academic demands, especially in the upcoming school year.
