The 2023-2024 season of Fondazione Milan has concluded, marking an extraordinary year of activities both abroad and in Italy. This year, we have once again promoted the importance of sport and its values in challenging contexts for young people with disabilities or at risk of marginalization.
Fondazione Milan has renewed its commitment through its three main programs, which encompass various charitable initiatives: Sport for All, Sport for Change, and Assist.
Thanks to the support of our donors, our beneficiaries had the opportunity to fully develop their talents and experience unprecedented personal growth.
The Support of Rossoneri Partners
We would like to thank AC Milan’s partners who accompanied us during this year of activities, including Puma, which provided valuable support to our beneficiaries by donating kits and sports equipment.
Another significant support came from Off–White, which, continuing from last season, launched the second t-shirt with the inscription “I SUPPORT SPORT FOR CHANGE,” part of the proceeds of which was allocated to the Sport for Change program in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Rossoneri charity also participated in the Relay Marathon 2024, allocating the proceeds from this charitable initiative to the Sport for All program. Crucial support also came from several Rossoneri partners: Puma, Gatorade, Clivet, and Lete, which significantly contributed to the success of the event.
Finally, thanks to Emirates, in the last championship match, we gave an extraordinary experience to the children of the Sport for All and Sport for Change projects from Murialdo, who entered the field before the match, living an unforgettable moment.
Sport for Change
The Sport for Change program supported the sports activities of 2,594 young beneficiaries and activated 4 new projects: in the Yasin Valley in Pakistan, in Aleppo in Syria, in São Paulo in Brazil, and in Milan.
Another 8 projects continued the collaboration with the Rossoneri charity in Salvador de Bahia, New York, Kerala, Kampala, Nairobi, Milan, and with Play for the Future in Bari, Catania, Naples, and Palermo.
Sport for All
The Sport for All program includes a series of initiatives aimed at encouraging the social inclusion of people with disabilities in the world of sport; this year, we supported 730 beneficiaries.
In Reggio Emilia with “All Inclusive Sport,” we supported the integration of children with disabilities into the sports clubs of the province.
In Milan at PlayMore, we provided several sports scholarships for young people participating in Multi Sport, soccer, and beach volleyball activities, aiming to enhance the relational potential of participants and facilitate inclusion.
Finally, we activated a new Sport for All project with Fondazione Èbbene called “Regenerated Communities,” carried out in the city of Messina. The project focuses on creating a Hub, which serves as the central point for the implementation of various initiatives to support the local community, also offering sports activities for young people with disabilities.
Assist
he Assist program this year has enabled a series of social interventions to improve the quality of life for 1,660 young people. Activities included those dedicated to supporting the population of Romagna, such as the special camp “Fondazione Milan for Romagna,” an initiative designed to provide a moment of relief for children affected by the May 2023 flood, and the reopening of the AC Solarolo sports center. The latter was realized thanks to the collaboration with AC Monza during the first Memorial Trophy in honor of Silvio Berlusconi.
Finally, we donated a new sports space in the Bruzzano area on the outskirts of Milan to over 500 young people in the neighborhood, which was also dedicated to Davide Astori. This project was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, Sport e Salute, and FIGC.
Fondazione Milan on the Jersey and at San Siro
Fondazione Milan was once again present, for the second consecutive year, on the back of the men’s First Team jersey in European championship matches and at San Siro on three special occasions: Milan vs. Fiorentina, with the “Insieme per Davide” fundraising campaign, Milan vs. Monza as the Match Charity Partner, and finally, with the 5×1000 Your Own Path campaign for Milan vs. Genoa.
5×1000
A sincere thanks goes to our donors and supporters who have supported Fondazione Milan during the season. In particular, thanks to the 6,206 preferences received for the 5×1000 in 2023, which generated an amount of €223,436, we will continue to promote the positive values of sport through sports-social projects in Italy and around the world.
Finally, it is impossible not to mention the constant support of the Club, the players, and our Legends, who are always by our side and alongside the beneficiaries who attend the Foundation’s activities.
