Lovine Wanga: From the Football Field to Life, an Example of Commitment and Inspiration – Sport For Change

Lovine is 14 years old and a true example of talent and determination. Raised in a large family of 12 children by a single mother, he has a clear dream: to nurture his passion for football and one day support his family while representing Uganda. Lovine is a leader on the field, and for this reason, he was named “Player of the Month” for his commitment, resilience, and ability to motivate his teammates. In the opening match of the term, he contributed to a 3-0 victory with two assists and a goal, demonstrating great maturity by acknowledging teamwork as the key to success. 

Lovine shares his dream in heartfelt words: “I hope to use football and education to improve my family’s life. My mother believes that education can change our situation. I want to thank Fondazione Milan and Italia Uganda for bringing sports to our school and providing valuable equipment that will help us improve football here.” 

Thanks to the Fairplay project, Lovine has the opportunity to pursue his passion, supported by teachers and family members who believe in his potential. This encouragement motivates him to work even harder to achieve his dream.
