Grace is thirteen years old and the third of nine siblings. Growing up in such a large family has taught her from an early age the meaning of responsibility, patience, and determination.
She lives in Kenya, in the heart of Nairobi’s slums: a place where everyday life can be difficult, but where strength, courage, and potential shine—just waiting for an opportunity to emerge.
For the past three years, she has been part of the Sport for Change program: a safe place where she can train, grow, and feel supported. On the field, Grace finds confidence, structure, and new possibilities. She learns teamwork, to believe in herself, and to look toward the future.
Today, she is one of the team’s best forwards. She plays with energy and intelligence, never misses a training session, and together with her teammates is helping build an increasingly united group. But the most important result is something else: the awareness that she can change her future.
With your support, programs like Sport for Change can continue to offer girls like Grace a safe space and new opportunities to grow.
