Milan, 7 May 2021 – At the site in Via dei Salici, at the Istituto Comprensivo Bruno Munari, an inspection was carried out for the work on the renovation of the spaces that housed a basketball and volleyball court.
The renovation of the spaces, is part of the project “Play for the future”, a social innovation project of Fondazione Milan that aims to redevelop and regenerate urban areas or existing sports facilities, to transform them into places of social cohesion and aggregation, carried out in Milan in collaboration with the Municipal Administration and Limonta Sport, AC Milan supplier.
The area, located within the school gardens, is currently unused due to the deterioration of the surface, which has gradually made it unfit for use.
Fondazione Milan is working on the reconstruction of the basketball-volleyball court with a new synthetic grass surface, the re-installation of the baskets and volleyball nets previously removed.
As soon as the work is completed, these spaces will be ready to welcome the students of the “Bruno Munari” Institute and the young people of the area to meet again and play sport together, because sport changes lives, and for all young people this is a sign of hope for the future.
