Sport as a Tool for Inclusion and Social Change was at the heart of the meeting between Fondazione Milan and Feyenoord Foundation, an opportunity for exchange between two organizations dedicated to promoting sports projects with a positive impact on local communities. The event took place on the eve of the match between the two clubs, strengthening a collaboration that goes beyond the game itself and embraces shared values such as inclusion, solidarity, and social growth through sport.
The day began at Casa Milan, where the two delegations had the chance to discuss their respective initiatives, sharing experiences, know-how, and best practices on how football—and sport in general—can serve as a powerful tool for social transformation.
The meeting then moved to Spazio Fontanelli, a multisport facility in Municipio 9 of Milan, recently renovated by Fondazione Milan in 2024 and dedicated to the memory of Davide Astori. Here, the two foundations attended a special tournament organized by Fondazione Aquilone, featuring young participants from Milan’s northern suburbs.
The event was a true celebration and a moment of shared experiences, where the young players had the opportunity to express themselves through sport, fostering a sense of community and belonging. At the end of the tournament, the delegations handed out official scarves and memorabilia from both clubs to the participants—a small but meaningful gesture to highlight the importance of such initiatives and leave a lasting mark on the occasion.
This exchange between Fondazione Milan and Feyenoord Foundation marks another step forward in building an international network of organizations that believe in the power of sport as a vehicle for growth and social inclusion, with the goal of continuing to develop impactful initiatives for future generations.
