Milan, 12 March 2024 – Fondazione Milan and Nice to Meet You Foundation launch “Talenti in Gioco” (“Talents in Play”), a multi-year initiative that aims to support young people on their journey through the education system to ensure positive development in future generations, fight against inequality, and guarantee the same opportunities for all. The project, created by two Italian entities with a global impact in the field of education, was initiated last October and focuses on the creation of curricular and extra-curricular workshops. Across the current academic year, it will involve over 300 students from the ICS Bruno Munari and ICS Val Lagarina primary schools and the ICS Alda Merini and ICS Sorelle Agazzi middle schools, selected in collaboration with the City of Milan Department of Education. These schools are located on the outskirts of Milan and the majority of their students have origins outside of Italy, a factor that brings additional challenges that, if not addressed appropriately, can contribute to disengagement from education and early school leaving. The initiative aims to create an increasingly inclusive educational environment, promoting the well-being of students and supplementing their educational journey. Proposed events privilege a variety of experiences, engaging participants entertainingly and constructively, and introducing them to a range of sporting disciplines, languages, and innovative extra-curricular activities, keeping students at the centre. To this end, Fondazione Milan and Nice to Meet You Foundation have carefully selected specialised coachesand industry professionals to conduct the workshops, acting as positive role models to inspire the students to seek success in the activities and in life. Moreover, participants in the project will also be invited to a special event as part of the “All the colours of sport” programme from AC Milan that encourages positive dialogues between Rossoneri ambassadors and secondary school students on important topics such as the fight against all forms of discrimination and the promotion of a culture of inclusivity. Today, for the launch of “Talenti in Gioco”, representatives from Fondazione Milan and the Nice to Meet You Foundation met with students involved in multi-sport, theatre, and English language workshops at the Istituto Sorelle Agazzi in the Comasina area of Milan. Rocco Giorgianni, General Secretary of Fondazione Milan, stated: “We have been committed to creating a better future for the next generations for over 20 years. In light of this, through the “Talenti in Gioco” project, we will enrich the education of over 300 students already this year, offering them the opportunity for integrated learning and promoting active and engaged participation”. Barbara Roversi, Managing Director of the Nice To Meet You Foundation stated: “Our aim is to bring children and young people together regardless of their origins or socio-economic background. With “Talenti in Gioco” we extend the impact of the NTMY Lab to Milan schools, supporting them with extra-curriculars via original and creative workshops to contribute to the fight against inequality and guarantee equal opportunities”. For both foundations, “Talenti in Gioco” is part of a wider series of activities, including the NTMY Lab, an initiative from the Nice To Meet You Foundation that aims to support different educational realities in Italy by promoting learning. Born in 2019, the initiative involves eight institutions across Italy and facilitates access to quality courses with activities supporting homework, music, film, theatre, art therapy, and English for a large number of children and young people. For Fondazione Milan, the project comes as part of the range of activities that make up the Sport for Change programme through which the Rossoneri charity works to nurture the talent of young people at risk of social marginalisation. This sporting season, the programme has reached over 2,000 participants in Italy and all over the world. ### ABOUT FONDAZIONE MILAN Fondazione Milan Onlus is a public charity linked to the wider scope of sustainability and social responsibility from the AC Milan Group, born in 2003 with the aim of giving back to the community, not just in Milan, for the love that millions of fans and supporters have shown to AC Milan, on and off the pitch.
